Hello! My name is Alejandra and I serve as the Assisstant Director at the Harvard College Women's Center. I am responsible for intern supervision, student advising, program management, communications strategy, and financial oversight of the center. I strive to create an inclusive, accessible, and equitable space for all students at the college.

I discovered my passion for making institutions of higher education more equitable (and education in general) for all students when I began doing advocacy work in college as an undergraduate at Princeton University through different student organizations focused on advancing racial equity, immigrant rights, BLGTQ+ rights, women and femme rights, and mental health. I know how important it is for undergraduate students to feel supported by administrators, staff, and faculty during their college career because that support greatly enhanced my college experience. I hope to serve as a resource for students during their time at Harvard University.

Students can reach out to me to talk about mental health, gender and sexuality, identity, career attainment, border studies, the humanities (Latinx/Latin American/American focus), and navigating predominantly white serving institutions of higher education.

I am originally from Hidalgo, a small town in South Texas. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Portuguese with certificates in Latinx Studies, Latin American Studies, and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Princeton University. I am graduating with a Master's Degree in Micro Social Work from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I started my career at Harvard in December 2021 at the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural Relations. I love spending time with family and friends, going on hikes, visiting museums, visiting new cafes, and watching films/series.
