Each year, a team of volunteers get together to design a logo and promote Women's Week to the campus community.
The Mission of Women's Week is to sponsor student-led events that celebrate women’s achievements, promote dialogue about women’s and gender issues, and highlight the varied and intersectional experiences of women at Harvard and beyond.
Last year, the theme of Women's Week is "Holding Community," to focus on the importance of community care. 2020 presented several hardships and traumatic moments and society often pushes "self-care" without recognizing community care as an equally essential part of healing. This year's events and publicity will fulfill and address needs within our respective and collective communities and celebrate the womxn who have done and continue to do this work. We are always looking for excited individuals with fun ideas for spreading the word about the amazing Women's Week events to join the steering committee!
Design and pub responsibilities:
- Help shape the theme and logo
- Develop a marketing plan
- Create flyers, posters, and other promotional materials
Applicants can apply to help with design, publicity, or both: the primary criteria is being able to bring the vision of Women's Week to life, so previous design and/or publicity experience is appreciated but not required!
